I am pleased to announce that LLL of Indiana will be a major sponsor of

the Lactation Stations at the Indiana State Fair this year!! The Lactation Stations are quiet-ish areas with rocking chair where mothers can take a break to nurse their babies. Last year there was just one Lactation Station, but this year there will several in different parts of the Fairgrounds.  Look for our La Leche League’s name on a 20′ rolling billboard in the form of a fair shuttle  that circles the track many times a day. We will also be included on the t-shirts, the station signs and the print ads that will be appearing in Indy Moms Magazine!

Volunteers are needed at the Lactation Stations helping mothers the nursing mothers get situated!  Volunteers receive a T-shirt and free admission to the Fair.  It’s a fun way to support breastfeeding mothers right here in Indianapolis.  You can find information about volunteering at the website of the Indiana Mothers Milk Bank, which is organizing the Lactation Stations.

On a side note, it also looks like the Indiana Mothers Milk Bank has a shortage of milk right now — there’s so much demand for their milk, they need more mothers to donate. You can find more info if you click on the link above about volunteer information.
